Ricoh IT Services becomes registered supplier with the
NSW Government ICT Services Scheme
SYDNEY, 24 September 2013: Ricoh IT Services, a leading managed IT services, engineering solutions and technology procurement provider and a division of Ricoh Australia, today announced it is now a registered supplier with the NSW Government ICT Services Scheme.
The NSW Government ICT Strategy 2012 sets the path for government agencies to identify, source and procure ICT goods and services and is aimed at fostering supplier partnerships between government and the ICT sector.
Ricoh Australia acquired IMC Communications, an IT Services company, in October 2012. The acquisition bolstered Ricoh’s global strategy to be a complete technology services-based organisation and expanded its capabilities to include managed IT services.
As an ‘Advanced Registered Partner’, Ricoh IT Services is now able to bid for government contracts over $150,000. Matthew Dixon, Head of Ricoh IT Services, is optimistic that the ICT Services Scheme will generate new business opportunities for partnerships with government agencies. “Achieving registration as a supplier to the NSW Government’s ICT Services Scheme is an endorsement of our ability to service the ICT needs of the NSW government.”
“With government agencies increasingly taking advantage of cloud-based IT solutions, we are focusing on making our established Managed Service capabilities available to government and adding additional managed services to our portfolio. Through our Sydney-based data centres we have addressed key issues relating to data sovereignty and security that government agencies have identified as they look to utilise ‘as-a-service’ solutions.”
Ricoh IT Services is expanding its capabilities in hosted services to deliver solutions such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and Managed Backup. They also have extensive experience implementing complex projects for large Australian organisations so are well placed to cater to all government ICT needs.
The NSW ICT Accreditation will significantly boost Ricoh IT Services involvement in state projects and further develop their reputation as one of the most efficient and reliable ICT solution providers in the industry.
